You possess a rare talent in that there is a great deal of power in your work to both express and evoke emotion - a feeling portrayed from artist and gifted to viewer - like an opening and/or sharing of minds and experience. 

I have viewed much energetic art yet never had such an experience.  Your work is emotionally intelligent.  It seems as though you have had many metaphysical experiences, one you intimately know rather than try to express another's meaning through art as so many other artists do. . ..  This is not a book you read and are speaking of through art.  Neither are you expressing a physical energy as experience by a common human caught up in the world reflecting back what comes to them shallowly, but you are expressing an energy that is far superior than what is common to this plane - something similar, I would say, to Sartori.  Not garnered from outside experience, but rather from deep within the soul.  It is like a breath  you draw on having had invitations from both sides and obviously making your choice. . ..

"Fortissimo of the Soul"

Picasso once confessed, "What I want is that my picture should evoke nothing but emotion."  Similarly, Contemporary abstract painter Preston Purser describes himself as a conduit, his images first coming from a spiritual level for the viewers, thereupon materializing per his artist's hand.  Mr. Purser "works in large format feeling there is not enough room to express himself on a small canvas."  Mr. Purser's prodigious works communicate on a spiritual level, intending to inspire and quicken the heart and soul.

Although Mr. Purser's artworks are abstract in nature; the highly psychological and emotional quality of his art induces the viewer's imagination to take flight and as a consequence one may see chimerical visions which are independent and unbeknownst to the artist.  The brushstrokes appear animated like ephermeral flames of a fire; twisting , coiling and fluttering about the canvas.  There is an impalpable magical presence in Mr. Purser's oeuvre which goes beyond the mere visible.  Gazing upon his paintings, one may well-nigh hear whispers or laughter, smell a crackling pyre or feel the cool breeze of a spirit passing by.  Mr. Purser's artwork is acutely intimate as the viewer's emotional reaction to the work is a personal experience, formed by both seeing the work and past memories or experiences.  The themes of Mr. Purser's paintings range from peaceful to ominous, however all with the shared intention of affecting the individual on a transecendental level.

Mr. Purser's art has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including being showcased in a curated exhibition at the Imbarcadero Rooms at the Estense Castle in Ferrara, Italy.  Amsterdam Whitney Gallery is pleased to be showcasing his art.
